EXAMPLE 8: Fix Broken Cleanout Piston

The cleanout piston in this Gusmer high-pressure mix head broke and had to be replaced.

What we did:

  • Disassembled, cleaned and inspected the mix head.
  • Manufactured a new cleanout piston.
  • Resized the mixhead block piston chamber to match the new piston.
  • Reassembled the mix head with new seals.
  • Hydraulically tested the mixing head to ensure that the seals held pressure and the new piston operated correctly.
